My Review:

As I currently stay at around halfway through this book, I have loved every minute of it. I adore fairy tale retellings, and even though this one isn’t SPECIFICALLY classified as one. If anything, this definitely was the definition of a modern fairytale. I loved Zera so much, it is interesting to hear the story from the typical villain’s point of view.

The story has been moving at a steady pace, but everything is so descriptive that I ended up moving through the story slower than I thought I would. This definitely wasn’t a bad thing! I was able to soak in the story more than I thought I would and moved through it slower in order to read the details. The plot is very smooth, and the world-building is incredible.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who likes modern fairy tales with unique main characters, an addictive plot line, and very descriptive storytelling.
